Living & breathing Archery as an athlete
Mix started her Archery career all because of only one key. From the age of 5 she was active with ballet and figure skating for which she had to walk for 15 min to the skating arena. The only shortcut was through the Archery club fence gate she had no access to, so she just took up Archery to get the key! But the first shoot she did impressed the coach Erik Karlsson so much, he called her parent and convinced her to continue.

Coached by Mr Park Kyung-Rae and winning a bronze medal in the South East Asian games 1997. Mix was the first woman to let into Korea to train with the best archers in the world. It was hard work for 5 month in the cold winter period with extremely hard and disciplined training, but it paid out in 1999 setting the Swedish record and winning both the Junior and Senior Target Championships the same year.
After the Olympics 2000 Sydney Mix was selected to the Swedish Olympic Commitee talent group to prepare for the Olympics 2004 in Athens. In preparation she went to USA in 2002 for training, competing and was coached by Don Rabska.
Hardships brought change in her life.
Mix her archery career was suddenly put to a halt after returning from the USA.Her dad had 2 strokes and she stopped training to be on his side. After three month she started competing again, with her first coach Erik on her side. During the car ride home from the archery competition they discussed the plan for the World Target Championhips 2003, New York. During he conversation Erik also had a stroke and Mix manage to stop the car. After Erik passing away Mix continued to follow the last thing they had planned, the championship.
